N-Judah hits elderly woman

San Francisco police are investigating an accident involving an outbound N-Judah streetcar and an elderly woman tonight at Ninth and Irving streets.

The accident happened at about 5:40 p.m., San Francisco Municipal Railway spokeswoman Janis Yuen said.

Details of the accident are unclear. The woman was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, her condition unknown.

No other information was immediately available.

Police cleared the scene by about 7:20 p.m., Yuen said.
