Motorcyclist killed in collision on Bay Bridge

A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with four other vehicles on the westbound Bay Bridge to the west of Treasure Island on Friday morning.

The collision shut down “four of five lanes for a little over an hour,” said California Highway Patrol spokesperson Officer Vu Williams.

“We do know that we have a motorcycle with a rider who ended colliding with several different vehicles, went down, was ejected and suffered head injuries and that ended up killing him,” said Williams.

CHP officials are investigating the incident, including reviewing video footage of the bridge.
