A 40-year-old man was stabbed in the side during a fight Thursday in the Mission district, police said.
The fight broke out between two men around 9:48 p.m. near the intersection of 17th Street and South Van Ness Avenue, police said. Afterward, one man told a witness he’d been stabbed in the side of the torso.
The wounded man was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
The suspect was a man in his 30s with a knife. No detailed description of him has been released by police.
