Mission bar-goer stabbed in chest, in life-threatening condition

A man is in life-threatening condition after he was stabbed and robbed outside of a Mission district bar he’d been drinking at early Tuesday morning, police said.

The 57-year-old man was at 15th and Mission streets around 2:29 a.m. when three men approached him, police said. At some point, he was stabbed in the chest with a knife and then robbed of his wallet, which contained identification and credit cards.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment.

No detailed suspect description is available.
