Missing El Cerrito woman found in San Francisco

A 61-year-old El Cerrito woman who was reported missing Thursday was found in San Francisco Tuesday night and has returned home safely, Detective Gilbert Tang said today.

Gretchen Porter has medical problems that caused her family to worry when she disappeared last week, Tang said.

The person who found Porter in San Francisco searched Google for her name and was able to locate her family, Tang said.

No foul play is suspected. Detective Peter Statton said Porter had been reported missing in the past and has returned home safely each time.
