Mehserle trial location to be decided today

The site of the former BART police officer Johannes Mehserle’s murder trial is scheduled to be announced today. Alameda County Superior Court Judge Morris Jacobson is expected to decide between Los Angeles or San Diego counties. Jacobson ruled last month that Mehserle would not get a fair trial in Alameda County. Mehserle, 27, is charged in the New Year’s Day shooting death of 22-year-old Oscar Grant III.
