Approximately 6,900 East Bay customers remain without power this morning because of storm-related damage that caused outages throughout the East Bay, according to Pacific Gas and Electric Co.
Cities most impacted by the storm are Oakland, Richmond, Berkeley, San Pablo and San Ramon, PG&E spokeswoman Susan Simon said.
The peak of the outage was at about 3 a.m. when approximately 10,000 East Bay customers were without power, according to Simon.
“We hope to have the majority of customers restored by 9:30 a.m.,'' Simon said.
