Man, woman yanked from car in Visitacion Valley assaulted and robbed

A man and woman sitting inside their car in Visitacion Valley were assaulted and robbed early Tuesday, police said.

The victims, a 36-year-old man and 55-year-old woman, were sitting in their parked vehicle at Sawyer Street and Sunrise Way about 3:10 a.m. when three men who appeared to be 19 to 23 years old pulled the victims out of the car, police said. They then dragged the pair behind the vehicle and punched them and pulled their hair.

The thugs took the man’s smartphone and the woman’s purse and fled, police said.

The victims complained of pain to their heads and necks, but their injuries were considered minor.
