Man, woman arrested after snatching cellphone on Market Street

A 29-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were arrested early Thursday morning moments after after punching another man and stealing his cellphone on Market Street, police said.

The incident happened around 1:50 a.m. in the 700 block of Market Street when one of the suspects, who appeared angry at each other, walked up to the victim and punched him in the mouth, according to police.

The man then grabbed the victim’s phone, and the pair split from the scene before officers arrested them moments later.

The victim suffered a cut to the upper lip but declined medical treatment.
