Man takes pen to neck in Outer Mission fight

A 25-year-old man was stabbed in the neck with a pen after he punched a woman in the face Monday in the Outer Mission, police said.

The man was in an argument with the 32-year-old woman on Mission Street near Geneva Avenue when he struck her around 1:45 p.m., police said. That’s when the woman retaliated, sticking his neck with the pen.

The man was taken to a local hospital with a neck wound. He’s expected to survive.

The woman, whose name has not been released by police, was arrested in connection with the aggravated assault.
