Man struck by car, seriously injured in Hayes Valley

A 42-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries early Friday morning after a vehicle struck him in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley neighborhood, police said.

The collision occurred around 1:50 a.m. near the corner of Gough and Grove streets.

The victim was taken to the hospital, police said.

The driver, a 33-year-old man, stayed at the scene and was not arrested.
