A 40-year-old man was struck by a vehicle and killed while crossing 19th Avenue near San Francisco’s Stonestown Galleria Saturday, police said Monday.
The driver, who has not been identified by police, was traveling south on 19th Avenue at Winston Avenue just after 1:30 a.m. when he struck the victim in a crosswalk.
Police said the driver had a “solid green light” and that the victim was crossing against a red signal.
The injured man was taken to the hospital but pronounced dead upon arrival. The medical examiner had not released his identity as of Monday morning.
Police have not reported any arrests in connection with the collision and did not release a description of the driver or involved vehicle.
