A 52-year-old man was stabbed in his abdomen during a Wednesday afternoon argument, according to police.
The victim and the assailant got into an argument around 4;30 p.m. near the intersection of Golden Gate Avenue and Jones Street.
After the victim hit the suspect in the face with a can, the suspect pulled out the knife and stabbed the 52-year-old.
The assailant then ran away.
The victim, who was stabbed with a pocket knife, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment for his injuries.
