Man slashed twice with knife in Duboce Triangle area

A man was slashed twice by a man with a knife in the Duboce Triangle area Saturday, Sgt. Monica Macdonald said Monday.

The 39-year-old victim was reportedly slashed in the wrist and chest by an unknown suspect with a knife in the unit block of Church Street about 1 p.m., Macdonald said.

Police responded and detained a 45-year-old man in connection with the incident. But after interviewing him, he was released without charges.

A knife was located at the scene, Macdonald said.

The victim was hospitalized but his injuries were not life-threatening.
