Man slashed in face at Mission district bus stop

A man was sliced in the face by a knife-wielding hoodlum in the Mission on Thursday, police said.

The 40-year-old victim was sitting at the bus stop at 16th and Mission streets around 3:17 a.m. when a brute in his 40s snuck up from behind and cut him in the face and fled, cops said.

The victim was transported to the hospital for his injuries, which were not life threatening.
