A man was injured in a shooting in a church parking lot in the Western Addition on Thursday, police said.
The 31-year-old victim was standing with his family in a church parking lot in the 1200 block of Golden Gate Avenue about 6:43 p.m. when he heard gunshots and fell to the ground.
He then realized he had been shot in the thigh.
The man was hospitalized but his injury was not life-threatening.
An unknown suspect was detained in connection with the shooting, but police did not say Friday whether he was charged in connection with the incident.
