Man shot in shoulder and head in the Western Addition Sunday

A man was shot in the shoulder and received a bullet graze wound to the head Sunday night in the same neighborhoodwhere another man was fatally shot earlier that day in the Western Addition, according to police.

The 8:18 p.m. shooting occurred on Eddy Street just north of Jefferson Square Park.

Four suspects drove by the victim and then opened fire with a rifle, said police.

The suspects then fled in a white Acura and the victim, who is in his 20s, took himself to a nearby hospital. He is expected to survive.

No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting, which was one of two Sunday in the Western Addition.

Earlier that day, a 23-year-old man was shot and killed on the same block, which is situated a block from the Northern Station.
