A man suffering from a gunshot wound leaped from one Haight Street rooftop to the next and fell to the ground Tuesday night, police said.
The 41-year-old man was shot near Alvord Lake, on the west end of Golden Gate Park, before fleeing onto Haight Street, running up the back stairs of a business and then jumping from the roof to another building, police said. At some point, he dropped to the ground.
When police arrived around 8:56 p.m., the man was uncooperative and refused to provide more information.
He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and is expected to survive.
The suspect in the case is a man with a handgun, but no detailed description of the shooter was released.
