Man shot in Fillmore walks into hospital

A 25-year-old man was shot Saturday evening in the Fillmore, according to San Francisco police.

Police said the man was shot with a handgun at around 6:50 p.m. near Webster Street and Golden Gate Avenue.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter gunfire detection system alert in the area and recovered shell casings.

The injured man later walked into the hospital, according to police. He is expected to survive.

Police have not identified a suspect in the shooting.
