Man shot getting off bus near Cow Palace

A man was shot and injured while trying to get off of a bus at a stop in San Francisco’s Sunnydale neighborhood near the Cow Palace Friday evening, according to police.

The 19-year-old man was exiting a Muni bus line at Geneva Avenue and Santos Street around 4:30 p.m. on Friday when he was shot by a male suspect.

The victim fled the scene in a car immediately after being shot and was then driven to the hospital in a different car. He was treated for a gunshot wound that was not considered life threatening, according to police.

Police said the shooter’s identity and his vehicle remain unknown.
