Man shot dead Monday in the Mission is ID’d

A 35-year-old man gunned down in the Mission District early Monday morning has been identified as Jesus Sandoval of San Francisco, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Sandoval was found with gunshot wounds by police at 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of 24th and Market streets.

Sandoval’s killing marks the 35th homicide in The City this year.

Police officials said Tuesday morning that no arrests have been made in the case, and had no new details to release.
