Man seriously wounded in early morning Mission District shooting

A man was seriously injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Mission District early Wednesday morning, according to police.

The 28-year-old victim was in the 800 block of Capp Street near 24th Street around 2:45 a.m. when he heard several gunshots and then realized he’d been hit, police said.

The victim told police he never saw any suspects.

He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
