Man sends girlfriend mixed ‘smoke’ signals

He wanted to light her fire, and it landed him in a cold jail cell.

A 22-year-old man was arrested Friday for setting a small fire on his girlfriend’s front porch, police said.

The arson was reported around 10 p.m. in the 100 block of Swiss Avenue, police said.

Cops later took the man into custody at his home, police said.

No one was injured by the blaze, police said.
