Man robbed, shot in the Tenderloin

A man who was robbed in the Tenderloin on Wednesday was later shot after he chased the suspects, Officer Gordon Shyy said.

The 23-year-old victim was reportedly robbed by two suspects about 10:33 p.m.

After the robbery, the victim and some acquaintances reportedly chased after the suspects. Near the intersection of Turk and Larkin streets, one of the suspects turned around and shot the robbery victim in the leg, Shyy said.

The suspects remain at large.

The victim was taken to the hospital for his injuries, which were not life-threatening.
