Man robbed of wheelchair at UN Plaza

A man was robbed of his wheelchair at UN Plaza on Thursday, police said.

The 64-year-old victim was approached from behind about 7:50 p.m. by a woman who appeared to be in her 30s, who hit the man in the head before pushing him out of the wheelchair, jumping in the wheelchair herself and fleeing the scene, police said.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

No arrest has been made.
