Man robbed of cellphone in Aquatic Park

A 26-year-old man was robbed of his cellphone in the Aquatic Park on Tuesday night, police said.

The victim was in the park when at about 8:30 p.m. he was approached by the suspects, described as two men in their late teens, who engaged the victim in a conversation, according to police.

That’s when one of the suspects showed the victim a handgun in his waistband and demanded his cellphone. The victim complied, and the suspects fled on foot.

No one had been arrested as of Wednesday morning.
