Man robbed of camera on Treasure Island

A man was robbed Wednesday while he was taking photos on San Francisco’s Treasure Island, police said.

The 70-year-old victim had his camera set up in the street in the first block of Treasure Island Road around 7:10 p.m. when the robbery occurred, police said.

A vehicle with two men pulled up and one of the men got out, pushed the victim, took his camera equipment and fled in the vehicle with the other man.

The victim lost a camera, lens and tripod in the theft, but was not injured, police said.

No arrests have been reported in the case as of Thursday morning.
