Man robbed of camera, cellphone in Russian Hill

A man was robbed at gunpoint of his camera and cellphone in the Russian Hill neighborhood Tuesday, police said.

The 35-year-old victim was in the 1100 block of Filbert Street taking pictures about 8:40 p.m. when a man came up from behind him and pointed a handgun at him, police said.

The gunman demanded the victim’s property and fled in an unknown direction, police said.

There was very little suspect description available Wednesday.
