Man robbed of camera at gunpoint on Yerba Buena Island

A man was robbed at gunpoint of his camera and other belongings on Yerba Buena Island on Wednesday night, police said.

The 58-year-old victim was returning to his vehicle parked near Treasure Island and Macalla roads about 9:15 p.m. after taking some pictures, police said. A man in his 30s approached the victim and pulled out a handgun from his right pocket and demanded the victim’s property.

The victim complied and the suspect fled in a dark vehicle driven by another suspect.

The victim lost his camera, tripod, wallet and cash, police said. He was not injured.
