Man looking to buy drugs in the Mission robbed of cash, ATM card

A man reportedly looking to buy drugs in the Mission early Tuesday walked away empty-handed — and lost his cash and ATM card too.

The 41-year-old man was in the area of 17th and Mission streets about 1:35 a.m. trying to buy drugs, police said.

Two suspects, a man and woman who appeared to be in their 30s, surrounded the victim, police said. One of the suspects went through his pockets while the other intimidated him.

The crooks fled with the victim’s cash and ATM card. No arrests were made.

The victim was not injured.Bay Area NewsCrimeCrime & CourtsMissionRobberySan Francisco Police Department
