Man killed in Polk Gulch stabbing

A man was stabbed to death in San Francisco’s Polk Gulch neighborhood Friday morning, according to police.

The victim, a 42-year-old man, was found suffering stab wounds near the intersection of Fern Street and Van Ness Avenue at 3:41 a.m., police said.

He was taken to a hospital but declared dead there. Police did not have a description of the assailant as of Friday morning.
