Man injured in Bayview shooting

A man was injured in a shooting in the Bayview on Friday, police said.

The 25-year-old victim was in the 1500 block of Fitzgerald Avenue about 4:21 p.m. when he heard a gunshot and turned around, police said. The victim then realized he’d been struck in the upper body.

He was hospitalized but his injuries were not life-threatening.

There was little known about the suspect or a motive in the shooting.
