Man hospitalized after fall from cable car

A man was taken to a hospital Saturday afternoon after falling from a San Francisco cable car, a San Francisco Municipal Railway spokesman said.

The man, who is about 60 years old, lost his grip of a handrail at 2:45 p.m. near Washington and Powell streets, spokesman Paul Rose said.

The cable car was slowing to stop when the man fell. No other details were available. cable carSFMTATransit
