Man fatally shot in San Francisco's Bayview district Tuesday evening

A 25-year-old man was fatally shot in San Francisco's Bayview District Tuesday evening, police said.

Officers responded to Fitzgerald Avenue and Ingalls Street at around 5:20 p.m. and found the man, a San Francisco resident, on the sidewalk near a store suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office identifies victim.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he died, according to police.

No suspects are in custody and no suspect information was immediately available.
