Man fatally shot in Bayview District on Friday night

A man was shot and killed in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Friday night, police said.

The shooting was reported at 8:24 p.m. in the 4900 block of Third Street between Palou and Quesada avenues, according to police.

The victim, who has been identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office as 35-year-old San Francisco resident Terrence Briggs, was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival, police said.

No arrest has been reported in connection with the shooting, which remains under investigation, police said.
