Man dies after assault in SF

A 52-year-old man who was assaulted in San Francisco last month became The City’s 33rd homicide of the year when he died last week, authorities said.

The Medical Examiner’s Office on Thursday identified Evaristo Rocha as the victim of an assault in late August at Market and Jones streets, who died Sept. 13.

Rocha was a San Francisco resident, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

No arrests have been made in the case, and further details were not immediately available.
