A 23-year-old man was critically injured in North Beach early Sunday when a punch caused him to strike his head on the ground, police said.
Just after 2 a.m., police said, officers responded to a report of a fight in the parking lot at 470 Broadway. The victim, police said, had been punched in the face by an unknown suspect. The suspect reportedly fled in a vehicle. The victim was taken to a hospital, but his condition was upgraded Tuesday and he’s expected to survive.
No arrests were reported as of Tuesday.
