A man was assaulted with a bike lock in the Civic Center area Monday, police said.
The 24-year-old man was reportedly involved in an argument with another man, who appeared to be in his late 20s, near Hayes and Polk streets about 5 p.m. The assailant struck the victim several times in the face with a bike lock, police said.
The suspect fled and no arrest was made.
