Man arrested on suspicion of DUI after crashing scooter into home

A man was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI following an alleged crash into a home Monday evening in South San Francisco, police said.

South San Francisco man Yuri Escobar, 42, was driving a scooter at around 7:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Rockwood Drive when he allegedly lost control of the scooter and crashed into the home.

Police said another person on the scooter suffered injuries not considered life-threatening. She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.

Police said Escobar was arrested and taken to the county jail on suspicion of DUI.
