Man arrested in fatal shooting of woman in Mission District

San Francisco police have arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman in the Mission District earlier this year.

Luis Barrios-Ixolin, a San Francisco resident, was taken into custody in the unit block of Reardon Court on Wednesday for allegedly shooting to death 27-year-old Tiara Williamson of Richmond, police said Thursday.

Williamson was found lying on the sidewalk suffering from several gunshot wounds just before 3 a.m. May 30 in the 600 block of Alabama Street, according to police.

She was taken to an area hospital where she died.

Barrios-Ixolin has been booked into San Francisco County Jail. Investigators are asking anyone with information on the case to contact the San Francisco Police anonymously at 415-575-4444 or text-a-tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the start of the message.
