Man arrested after robbing victim of car, cellphone in NoPa

Two men were were robbed of their car at gunpoint by an acquaintance in the North of Panhandle neighborhood early Tuesday morning, said police.

The incident near Fulton and Masonic streets occurred at around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday.

The victims, two men in their 20s, were driving around the neighborhood and met up with two friends, one in his 20s and another in his 30s.

At some point one of the men got angry and pulled out a gun. He then took the cellphone of one of the victim and got into the driver’s seat of the parked car. The other suspect also got into the car before they both fled.

One of the suspects was later apprehended in San Leandro where police located the car.
