Man, 26, charged in New Year’s Eve sexual assault of 99-year-old woman

A 26-year-old man is facing charges in connection with the sexual assault of a 99-year-old woman on New Year’s Eve at a housing project in Chinatown, according to authorities.

Teandre Howard-Kidd is accused of attacking the elderly woman Monday afternoon on Pacific Avenue between Stockton and Powell streets, where the Ping Yuen housing development is located.

The District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday charged Howard-Kidd with felony sexual assault, elder abuse and residential burglary.

San Francisco police made an arrest in the case on Tuesday after circulating photographs of the suspect wearing a blue vest over a grey hoodie, black and white striped pants and black and white athletic shoes.

Howard-Kidd is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at the Hall of Justice.
