A pharmacy in the Lower Haight was robbed at gunpoint of prescription medication Monday, police said.
The suspect, a man who appeared to be in his 40s, walked into the pharmacy in the 400 block of Haight Street about 9:15 a.m. and went to the pharmacy counter, police said. He showed what appeared to be a gun in his jacket and handed the pharmacist a note demanding prescription medication, police said.
The pharmacist, a 32-year-old woman, complied and opened up the safe. The suspect took medications and fled.
No arrest was made.
