Achievement: Allen was recently named interim city manager of Colma, effective Aug. 1. She joined the city’s staff three years ago as assistant city manager and will replace current city manager Diane McGrath, who is retiring after 36 years in municipal government. Allen, who holds a master’s degree in public administration, has more than 12 years of municipal experience, having worked for the cities of Phoenix, Ariz., and Berkeley.
