I Love SF Water winner crowned

At long last, the Public Utilities Commission has crowned the winning filmmaker in its I Love SF Water contest.

The PUC called on city residents to create a video that promotes water-saving techniques and their overall fondness for the water that flows from the Hetch Hetchy Valley. Six made the final cut.

The winner was Alexis van Gelder for her video, “Shower Your Garden.” Van Gelder gets a tour for four people of the O'Shaughnessy Dam and the Hetch Hetchy watershed.  Second place winner, Will Hayden, gets a “prize” as well, a behind the scenes tour of wastewater treatment plant for him and 10 of his friends.
