Keep an eye out for construction at the Hayes Valley Playground and Clubhouse.
The Recreation and Park Commission this afternoon could approve a $2.2 million contract with CLW Builders Inc. to construct a new building along Linden Street, a stage and plaza for community gatherings, and an area with outdoor fitness equipment, among other amenities.
But the money is not coming from the $185 million Neighborhood Parks Bond.
About $1.9 million is coming from The City’s general fund, and the rest has been picked up by national nonprofit Trust for Public Land.
The item is on the commission’s agenda for the 4 p.m. meeting in City Hall.
