Harris election announcement Tuesday

San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris is making a “special announcement” on Tuesday at the Delancey Street Foundation.

We wonder what it could be.

But besides declaring victory in the race for attorney general, maybe Harris will offer San Franciscans a clue to how she will leave office and who will replace her.

The timing of Harris’ exit will have a major impact on who replaces her as The City’s new district attorney. The mayor makes that decision, but whether that mayor will be Gavin Newsom or his replacement has yet to be determined.
