The City’s middle school students will get to skip class Friday morning for a jam session in Golden Gate Park.
The Fireants and MC Hammer will kickoff the ninth Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival with an educational session for the teenagers, who'll be bused to the park for the event.
It’s part of the Daniel Pearl Foundation’s World Music Days, a national effort to connect people through music that brings together more than 3,000 performers in more than 80 countries.
