Arrivals and departures at San Francisco International Airport are about 30 minutes behind schedule this afternoon, airport Duty Manager John Ginty said.
A ground delay program, which controls air traffic volume into airports by delaying departure times for incoming flights, was implemented at SFO because of low clouds at 9 a.m. and will be in effect until 11 p.m., Ginty said.
Flights into SFO from Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey are also delayed up to an hour, Ginty said.
