Fishing restrictions lifted

The last of the fishing restrictions implemented after the Dubai Star’s oil spill in October have been lifted. The Department of Fish and Game, along with the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, lifted restrictions on harvesting mussels and shellfish at Crown Memorial State Beach in Alameda, which was the last remaining closure. As many as 800 gallons of bunker fuel were spilled into the Bay.
